Rotary Medical Mission of Siquijor

On April 2, 2006, a medical mission will be held at three locations in Siquijor, Salagdoong, Maria; Campalanas, Lazi; and Siquijor Provincial Hospital in Siquijor, Siquijor. Any interested individuals in need of medical care are invited to attend the event. Consultations, minor surgeries, and dental needs will be addressed during the mission.
Thirty doctors will be on-site for the event, including those from Negros Oriental and Cebu. These include eleven doctors from Silliman University in Dumaguete will be assisting during the event. Additionally, forty nurses will assist in the mission.
The medical mission is being coordinated by the Rotary Club of Siquijor Island. The mission is a regional effort of the Rotary clubs in the provinces of Negros Oriental and Siquijor. The Rotary Club has solicited medicines from locations both domestic (Negros, Cebu, Luzon) and abroad (U.S.A., Japan) for the event. Several companies have also donated medicines, including Ceres Bus Lines.
